Super duper crazy week!!!!!!  To start off, we had transfers in the mission on the 31 of December and the 31 is a surpisingly busy day of travel down here in Argentina. Everybody is going to celebrate new years with their family by having a huge bbq argentine style, listining to some really wierd folk music called chamamaine, and drinking champain until about 5 or six in the morning. Haha funny story we found a group of teenagers on the 1 at around 7 oclock in the evening and they had still not slept from the party on the 31. We asked them why they hadnt gone to sleep yet and they told us they needed to start the new year "strong". They looked liked straight zombies with a lot of beer and cigarrettes. Anyway, because the bus stations were going to be so busy on the 31 we had to go on the 30 and buy all the tickets for all the missionaries that were going to be passing through the bus station in Resistencia. That took us all day and the next day we were at the bus station all day directing all the missionaries to their new areas. Its a pretty crazy experience but super exciting too. My companion and I worked together to get everything done and for once in a long time nobody missed their bus.

Also, on Saturday our zone had interviews with President. The asistents called us on friday and told us to prepare a capacitación for the zone while each companionship was being interviews. We trained our zone on chapter 9 of PMG and it was a great experience. At the end we played a huge game of trivia regarding only things found in PMG. 

My interview with President Franco was really nice. He seemed a little bit tired because he had been interviewing missionaries since 8 in the morning and I was the last missionary of the day at 5:30 pm. He told me to make goals for this year and put them together with my patriarical blessing and everytime i go over my goals I should read my patriarical blessing aswell. It is great advice and something I am definately going to do once I decide on some set goals for this year. 

My companion and I have found some new investigators that seem very very promising, so we are fasting and praying that they will keep progressing and come to church on sunday. Well thats all I got for now.

Elder Jacob Anderson's latest letter from Rio

Soo the highlight of this week is Alef was baptized!!! It was awesome it was soo cooooooooll to seem him change. He is a very bright future ahead of him! The gospel will refine his life and he will become something he could have never even imagine before.. We have already made goals with him to get the Priesthood so he can baptize his brothers and sister as well in the next few weeks ;) They are all super excited about that!!

Me and my comp are really focusing on finding people. Our mission president wants us to baptize semanalmente!! The 70 who visited us told us this is a realistic goal. So we need to find around 60 new people to teach and invite to be baptized every single week. We just need to start talking to the whooole world. Its easy to be a missionary when you are teaching or visiting member. But we need to focus on being missionaries every moment of the day.

This week i thought a lot about his scripture.. "And it came to pass that I, Nephi, beheld the power of theLamb of God, that it descended upon the saints of the church ofthe Lamb, and upon the covenant people of the Lord, who werescattered upon all the face of the earth; and they were armed withrighteousness and with the power of God in great glory."

 As members of the church we have a right to this promise. When we are righteous we have the promise of 1- power of God and 2- Great glory.

We shouldnt be ashamed at any moment. But we should excel to bebetter every moment. we will receive more and more. We have the capasidade to do sooo much!! look to the Lord for help and he will bless you. Read the scriptures looking for answers. The Book of Mormon was written for us. Literally. The prophets who wrote it had visions about us and wrote wrote it for us.

Alrighty so Christmas is almost here and everybody is getting super excited, buying fireworks, meat, and apple cider down here in Argentina. This week it rained a ton and always before it rains here it gets super hot and super humid. On thursday before it rained that night it got up to 112 degrees!!! Yeah I thought I was going to be nothing but liquid before we got back to our apartment. Down here our schedule is a little bit different from a normal missionary. Because it gets so hot here and because there is something called the Siesta, (which is just basically a time from about 12:30pm to 5:00 pm when everything is closed and almost everybody sleeps) we go to our apartments after lunch and do our studies during the Siesta until 4:00 pm.

Well here they cut the power during the Siesta when it is super hot sometimes becuase there are too many people using too much electricity. When that happens my comp and I throw water all over ourselves and lay down on the floor to study. That is always super fun...Not. But luckily the rain has been keeping it pretty cool that last few days.

Well my comp and I are still looking for people who have been prepared by the Lord. We are working with a 16 year old named Cristian in our ward. He is so awesome, he has been inviting all of his friends to come to church and read the book of Mormon. We have taught two of his friends so far and they look super great. I hope this kid serves his mission in the states to I can freaking see him again soon. Well there isnt much more than that to write about this week. Today at 6:00 we are having a Christmas activity with our zone and it is going to be super awesome so I´ll send you some picks next week.

Latest Letter From Elder Jacob Anderson From the Rio de Janiero Mission

So I am loving my new comp. He is super great... He was baptized in the church when he was about 12 and didnt return until about 3 years before his mission. He is 25 years old. We are getting a long great.

We live with 2 other Elders that really helps to have other people to talk to after a busy day of work.. We are going to do really well together. We are going to set goals to have teach find and baptize more then we ever have on the mission! Its going to be great. We have another scheduled transfer here in one week so lets see if I will stay here. President told me that a lot of the areas and mission of the mission need to get to know me so dont get comfortable 0_o So are mission is doing a mission choir. Its pretty cool except that we dont get to work on Saturday or Sunday which makes it even more difficult to bring people to church and there for baptize. I had no idea that the mission was so huge. Satuday we spent 8 hours on a bus going to another part of the mission to did our Christmas show.. It was pretty fun!!

The highlight of the week was the interviews that i was able to do through out the week. Especially the last interview Sunday. It was a

34 year old women that grew up a Jehovah Wittiness. She was extremely prepared. She has been investigation for the last 4 months. We had planned to help her be baptized Sunday night. She is the baptism of the sister in our district. But saddly her bishop said somethings to her that made her want to wait until next week. Though she was not baptized yesterday i felt super honored to do her  interviews it was a great exp. She will be baptized This friday. I am so very excited for her!! The gospel refines the goodness in people. The spirit of the Lord changes us. I am soo profoundly greatful for the opportunities that are made possible through the Spirit. The changes and gifts that are made possible. Ask, work and learn to work with the spirit!! For he the true teacher. I am here to help and serve.

Oooo I am pretty excited for xmas when i can talk to me beloved family. CHAUUUUUUU

Latest Letter From Elder Joseph Anderson From Resistencia Argentina

Well my favorite time of the year has finally arrived. THe Christmas season is just amazing, although it is just a little bit different down here in good old Resistencia. First of all instead of snowing it is now reaching the hundreds in temperature with about 70-80 percent humidity. The good knews about the heat though is that I think I am starting to lose a little bit of weight. Also during this time of year all of the fruits on the trees start to grow and we can just walk down the streets eating mangos, grapefruit, oranges, papaya, manderines, and a few other ones that I am not sure what are called. I also have eaten about three full watermelons this week :)

But the biggest reason for which I love the month of december is because it is the time when we remember the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are having a lot of success finding new investigators by using the pass along cards that say He is the Gift. I feel peace and comfort in my heart everytime I tell someone I know the Jesus Christ lives and that he is our Savior. Elder Valverde and I have been working really hard this week and we have found some really good looking investigators. He is really good about helping me keep my patience because sometimes I get a little annoyed with people here but my comp is always there to help me. I am reading the Book of Mormon and Preach my Gospel like crazy. Everyday my companion and I try to become more consecrated missionaries and we can feel the Lords blessings upon us.
